Grand Knight

Dear Council Members: 

My name is Darryl Fedorchak . As the newly elected Grand Knight, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little about me. I am a retired Massachusetts State Trooper and currently a Deejay and Emcee with Dance Music Express, an entertainment company. I also hold and maintain a Massachusetts Auctioneers License with auctions conducted for Charity Fund raising, Estate and Business Liquidations, Real Estate and Automobiles. 

At St. Mary’s I am a Eucharistic Minister and a current member of the Parish Council. 

My interests are in music, antiques and collectible automobiles. I am single and reside in Boxford, Mass. 

I have been fortunate to be able to align myself with a dedicated team to assist me in the transition period from the previous administration. I have requested some of the previous members to remain in their positions and I have appointed some new members to my team as well.

The grand knight is responsible for the welfare of the Council.

• He presides over Council meetings
• Acts as an ex-officio member of all committees
• Appoints a membership and programming director
• Convenes officers for a monthly meeting
• Ensures all necessary reports are submitted to the state and Supreme Council.
• He should also be aware of the council's financial status and ensure that his signature appears on all checks drawn.

The Grand Knight is a member of the Advisory Board with general supervision of the Council's Columbian Squire circle. For more specific duties and responsibilities, refer to the Grand Knight's Handbook (#915).

Deputy Grand Knight

The deputy grand knight is second in command.

• He assists the grand knight with council affairs and fulfills all duties assigned to him by the grand knight.
• Should the grand knight be absent from a Council meeting, the deputy grand knight will preside.
• He is chairman of the Council's retention committee
• He is a member of the Advisory Board charged with overseeing the Council's sponsored Columbian Squires circle.

Chancellor

Third in command, assists Grand Knight/Deputy Grand Knight

Spiritual advisor to the council, appointed by Supreme Council

Recorder

Keeps true record of business and correspondence

Drew Vernalia

Financial Secretary

Three-year term appointed by the Supreme Council. Collects and receives all moneys due the Council. Keeps membership accounts and financial records.

Treasurer

Lecturer

Warden 

Maintains all Council property. sets up furniture and furnishings for all Council meetings, ceremonies etc.

Inside Guard

Attends inner door of Council, Assists Warden in setting up for Council meetings, ceremonies etc.

Outside Guard

Attends outer door of Council, Assists Warden in setting up for council meetings, ceremonies etc.
